Russia extends deadline to capture all of Donbas

Russia has extended the deadline for capturing the entire Donbas until April 2026.

Axar.az reports, citing the New York Post.

“However, at the current pace of advance, the Russians will only be able to realize this ambition by mid-2027. Russia still needs to seize the remaining 21% of Donbas, yet it has so far failed to fully capture Pokrovsk, which it has been attacking for nearly two years and for which it has deployed more than 150,000 soldiers.

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin is trying to convince the world that Ukraine’s defenses are on the verge of collapse in order to pressure US President Donald Trump to force Ukraine to surrender,” the publication said.
