China reduces Russian oil purchases by 7% in 2025

In 2025, China reduced its purchases of Russian oil by 7.14 percent compared to 2014.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in the information published by the General Administration of Customs of China.

In the 12 months of last year, Russian oil supplies to China amounted to 100.723 million tons. In monetary terms, this amounted to $ 49.8 billion. In 2014, China purchased 108.469 million tons of Russian oil. In monetary terms, this amounted to $ 62.589 billion.

The difference or decrease amounted to 7.75 million tons, which is worth $ 12.79 billion. The main problem for Russian exporters is the tightening of sanctions against Russia by the Western camp. According to experts, the only way to maintain the pace of supplies in these conditions is to use price elasticity, that is, discounts.
