Iran allows women to get motorcycle licenses

Women in Iran have been allowed to obtain a driver's license of the appropriate category to drive motorcycles.

Axar.az reports the document was approved at a cabinet meeting in January and signed by First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref.

According to the decree, the Supreme Command of the Islamic Republic is responsible for organizing "practical training" for women in motorcycle riding, conducting exams under the direct supervision of traffic police, and issuing driver's licenses.
