US, Mexico seize cocaine in ‘coordinated’ Pacific operation

Mexican naval forces, working alongside the U.S. Coast Guard, seized approximately 188 bundles containing several tons of suspected cocaine during maritime security operations west of Clarion Island, beyond Mexico’s Exclusive Economic Zone.

Axar.az informs, citing Mexican Navy, the operation came after intelligence sharing and the coordinated deployment of units from the Mexican Navy, the U.S. Coast Guard, and the Joint Interagency Task Force South.

Officials said the seizure highlights ongoing international cooperation to combat illicit activities at sea and bolster maritime security.
