The defense ministries of Somalia, Sudan, and Burundi were informed about the defense industry of Azerbaijan within the framework of the "World Defense Show 2026" international exhibition held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

It was reported that on February 11, Azerbaijani Defense Industry Minister Vugar Mustafayev met with Somali Defense Minister Ahmed Moallim Figi, Sudan Defense Minister Hassan Daoud Kabroun Kayan, and Burundi Deputy Defense Minister General Marius Ngendabanka.
During the meetings, the parties provided detailed information on the current state of the defense industry in their countries, production potential, and priority areas.
During the discussions, views were exchanged on joint research opportunities, personnel training, exchange of experience and specialized training mechanisms, as well as the application of innovative technologies, digital solutions, modernization of weapons and equipment, and innovations presented within the framework of the exhibition and future directions of cooperation.
Other issues of interest to the parties were also discussed during the meetings, which were held under mutual understanding.
