Serbia urges citizens to leave Iran

The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on all Serbian citizens in Iran to leave the country and advised those planning to travel there to cancel their trips.

Axar.az reports that according to the ministry’s statement, the warning was issued due to the “deteriorating security situation and increased risk to personal safety in Iran.”

Amid high tensions between Iran and the U.S. over the violent suppression of widespread protests in Iran, the country earlier this morning unexpectedly closed its airspace to commercial flights for four hours.
