UN Secretary-General warns world faces 'chaos and change'

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called on Monday for a renewed international security architecture to address a rapidly changing global order.

Axar.az, citing Reuters, reports that speaking in Geneva, Guterres said the world is experiencing a period of “chaos and change” and that the traditional security frameworks that have governed relations for nearly eight decades are no longer sufficient.

He emphasized that any new security architecture should be grounded in a careful and realistic analysis of the current international situation.
