Germany's FM warns citizens in Israel and Lebanon

Germany’s Foreign Ministry has advised its citizens in Israel and Lebanon to take safety precautions amid the possibility of a U.S. strike on Iran.

Axar.az, citing Bild, reports that Germans in Israel are told to prepare to stay in place if airspace is closed, as Iranian retaliation could target Israeli sites.

The embassy warned that “support from the embassy and the Foreign Ministry will be very limited” in such a scenario and recommended installing missile alert apps and stocking up on food, water, and fuel.

In Lebanon, authorities warned that security could worsen, with potential flight restrictions and possible involvement by Hezbollah, Iran’s main regional ally.

The advisory comes amid heightened U.S. military presence in the region and ongoing tensions over Iran’s nuclear program, following last year’s escalation when Israel and the U.S. struck Iranian nuclear sites, and Iran responded with missile attacks on Israeli cities.
