133 Taliban members killed in Pakistani military strikes

At least 133 members of the Afghan Taliban have been killed and more than 200 injured in a border clash with Pakistan.

Axar.az reports that the Information Minister of the Islamic Republic, Attaullah Tarar, announced this on his X account.

The operation reportedly targeted Taliban defensive positions in Kabul, Paktia and Kandahar, with officials suggesting the casualty toll could rise.

According to him, 27 Taliban posts were destroyed and nine others were captured. Two corps headquarters, three brigade headquarters, two ammunition depots, one logistics base, three battalion headquarters, two sector headquarters, and more than 80 tanks, artillery guns and armored personnel carriers were destroyed.

He added that Pakistan’s retaliatory military operation remains ongoing.
