Russia claims potential Black Sea gas pipeline sabotage

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has stated that Russian intelligence possesses information suggesting that Kyiv is preparing sabotage operations targeting gas pipelines in the Black Sea.

Axar.az, citing Russian media, reports that he said, “Our special services have such information; they are monitoring the attempts by the Kyiv regime to prepare new sabotage operations.”

Peskov added that Russia has repeatedly informed Turkiye about the alleged plans against the Blue Stream and TurkStream pipelines.

This follows Russian President Vladimir Putin’s February 24 claim that Moscow has intelligence about possible attempts to sabotage the TurkStream and Blue Stream gas pipelines in the Black Sea, warning such actions could derail ongoing peace talks with Ukraine.
