Australia PM says ‘military assets’ sent to Middle East

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced that “military assets” are being sent to the Middle East as a contingency measure, without providing further details.

Axar.az reports that, according to SBS News, two military aircraft have already been deployed.

Albanese told the Australian parliament the government had sent six crisis response teams to the region.

"I thank those Australians going into a dangerous situation in order to help their fellow Australians," he added.
