Trump sons back Powerus drone venture targeting Pentagon

Aureus Greenway Holdings, a company backed by the sons of Donald Trump, announced on Monday that it plans to merge with Powerus in a deal aimed at taking the drone technology firm public.

Axar.az reports, citing Reuters, the transaction marks the latest step in the expanding investments of Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. in the drone sector.

It follows last month’s $1.5 billion partnership between Israeli drone manufacturer XTEND and Florida-based JFB Construction.

Founded in 2025 by Andrew Fox, Powerus develops heavy-lift drones capable of carrying industrial payloads of up to 675 kilograms.

The company also provides technology that converts manned boats into remotely operated or fully autonomous vessels.

Drones have become a top procurement priority for the Pentagon and are widely used in Ukraine, where dense air-defense systems near the front lines restrict the use of conventional aircraft.

The growing importance of drone warfare has also attracted substantial investment from Silicon Valley into drone and military artificial intelligence startups, significantly boosting the valuations of U.S. defense technology companies such as Anduril Industries and Shield AI.
