Witkoff: Russia assured Trump no intel passed to Iran

Steve Witkoff, U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East said Tuesday that Russia told President Trump during his Monday call with Russian President Vladimir Putin that it is not sharing intelligence with Iran.

Axar.az reports, in an interview with CNBC, Witkoff said: "I can tell you that yesterday, on the call with the president, the Russians said they have not been sharing."

He continued: "That's what they said. So, you know, we can take them at their word, but they did say that."

Witkoff added that he and Jared Kushner also spoke Monday morning with Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, who similarly assured them that Russia is not providing intelligence to Iran.

"That's a better question for the intel people, but let's hope that they're not sharing."
