Wright: Iran conflict likely to end within weeks

"I think that this conflict will certainly come to an end in the next few weeks. Could be sooner than that,” U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright said Sunday amid concerns over rising gas prices.

Axar.az reports, citing ABC, Wright’s remarks come as the U.S. and Israel continue military operations against Iran, which began on February 28.

Officials and analysts have expressed concern over the impact of the conflict on energy markets, particularly gasoline and natural gas prices.

The Energy Secretary emphasized that resolving the conflict swiftly is a priority, both for regional stability and to mitigate economic consequences for global energy markets.
