Tucker Carlson claims CIA ‘framing’ him as foreign agent

Tucker Carlson alleged that the CIA monitored his text messages in the lead-up to the war with Iran, claiming the agency sought to portray him as a foreign agent.

Axar.az reports that the 56-year-old conservative commentator stated in a video posted on X Saturday night that the Department of Justice is planning to charge him as an unregistered foreign agent for the Iranian regime, following the CIA’s recommendation.

“The CIA is preparing some kind of criminal referral against me—a report to the Department of Justice—based on an alleged crime I supposedly committed,” Carlson said in the video released Saturday.

“What’s that crime? Well, talking to people in Iran before the war,” Carlson added. “They [the CIA] read my texts.”

Carlson claimed he is set to be charged under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (1938), which requires anyone being paid by foreign governments for lobbying or political advocacy to register with the DoJ.
