Kharg island attack would shake global energy markets

A possible U.S. attack on Iran’s Kharg Island, where the country’s largest oil terminal is located, would significantly affect oil prices.

Axar.az reports, citing ISNA, IRGC Navy Commander Alireza Tangsiri said that “You have already tested Iran once with the Strait of Hormuz. If the smart control of the Strait created a new oil price index for you, then an attack on Kharg will create another, more severe and entirely new equation for energy distribution and pricing in the world.”

It should be noted that Axios, citing sources, previously wrote that U.S. President Donald Trump was considering the possibility of seizing Iran’s Kharg Island.
