Turkiye’s FM Fidan speaks with Russian counterpart Lavrov

Turkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a phone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Axar.az reports the discussion focused on the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine as well as regional developments in the Middle East.

The ministers exchanged views on steps to end the conflict and return to the negotiating table. Fidan highlighted the risks posed by the prolongation of the war to both regional countries and the international order.

The conversation also covered the latest developments in the Russia–Ukraine conflict. Fidan reiterated Turkiye’s readiness to host the next round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.

Energy security issues were additionally discussed during the call.
