Tokayev announces Turkic States summit in Turkistan

The leaders’ Summit of the Organization of Turkic States is scheduled to take place in mid-May in Turkistan.

Axar.az reports that Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made the announcement during a speech to the public in the Turkistan region.

"Given the current unstable situation in the world, this international event takes on special significance. The government and local authorities must give top priority to the high-quality organization of this summit," Tokayev said.
