US pushing Russia out of global energy markets

Russia does not see that the United States seeks to take its interests into account; on the contrary, Washington is trying to push Russia out of energy markets, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, Lavrov said that the U.S. welcomes the marginalization of Moscow in European energy markets.

"The U.S. 'welcomed and continues to welcome' the marginalization of Russia in European energy markets,” Lavrov added. He noted that this represents “an open claim to global energy dominance, in all regions of the world.”
