France slams U.S. lack of coordination in Iran's conflict

The United States has become an unpredictable ally that is impacting France's interests and security.

Axar.az reports, citing Reuters, Fabien Mandon, the Chief of Staff of the French Armed Forces, stated that official Paris is outraged by the lack of coordination from Washington in the planning and initiation of military operations:

"We ‌were surprised by an American ally, who remains an ally, but who is becoming increasingly unpredictable and doesn't even bother to inform us when they decide to launch military operations," Fabien Mandon told a security and defence forum in Paris.

"It has an impact on our security and it has an impact on our interests."

Although France and the United States remain close partners within NATO, Paris has grown increasingly exasperated with Washington’s decision to start a war against Iran in the Middle East — especially coming after U.S. President Donald Trump’s earlier disputes with European allies over his comments and actions regarding Greenland.
