US-Israel cannot achieve regime change in Iran

The U.S.-Israeli military operation launched on February 28 is incapable of overthrowing Iran’s ruling regime, Italian economist Michele Geraci stated.

Axar.az reports, citing TASS, Geraci stated that despite strikes on Tehran and the deaths of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other key leaders, Geraci argues the country’s power distribution is too resilient to dismantle.

"The U.S. will not be able to bring about regime change in Iran," Geraci stated, noting that the system is designed for continuity. He highlighted that even high-level resignations within the U.S. intelligence community, such as Joe Kent of the Counterterrorism Center, signal internal disagreement with a policy he claims is based on "false pretenses."

Geraci suggested Washington's true concern is not a nuclear threat, but rather a stable and prosperous Iran, which would represent a "worst-case scenario" for Israel.
