Drone crashes in Romania after Russia strikes Ukraine

A drone crashed near a village in Romania on Thursday after overnight Russian air strikes in neighboring Ukraine.

Axar.az informs The Romanian Ministry of National Defense reported that a military drone, intercepted by Ukrainian air defenses, crashed within the country’s territory, approximately four kilometers inside its national airspace.

The Romanian Air Force scrambled two F-16 fighter jets at 12:16 a.m. from the 86th Air Base in Borcha to monitor the situation in the airspace.

No casualties or property damage were reported.
