Iran says it will control ship traffic through the Strait of Hormuz until military operations are fully completed and lasting peace is established in the region.

Axar.az reports that Iran’s Supreme National Security Council of Iran said in a statement that most logistical support for US military bases in the Persian Gulf is delivered via shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, which it described as a threat to Iran’s national security and regional stability.

The council stressed that Iran is determined to maintain supervision and control over transit through the Strait until the definitive end of the war and the establishment of lasting peace.
