Iran undecided on new US talks in Islamabad

Iran has not yet made any decision about participating in a new round of Pakistani-mediated negotiations with the US in Islamabad, the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry said on Monday, citing Washington’s contradictory actions.

Axar.az informs, citing Tasnim News Agency, that speaking to reporters at a weekly press conference, Esmaeil Baghaei said, “So far, we have not made any decisions regarding the next round of negotiations.”

It should be noted that following a two-week ceasefire agreement reached on April 8, talks were held in Islamabad on April 11 but ended without results. The next round of negotiations had been expected on April 21, but reports later emerged that Iran had declined to participate.
