Iran internet cut continues for 56 days, says NetBlocks

Internet access in Iran has been restricted for more than 55 days.

Axar.az reports that the international internet monitoring service NetBlocks released the statement.

“It’s now the 56th day of Iran’s internet blackout, with international connectivity severed for over 1,320 hours,” the report said.

NetBlocks added that this measure represents the longest recorded national internet shutdown in a connected society, and that it continues amid deteriorating conditions, including warfare and reported executions.

It is noted that the United States and Israel launched a military operation in Iran on February 28. Following this, internet restrictions were introduced across the country.
