TURKPA condemns burning of Turkiye’s flag in Armenia

The Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA), Ramil Hasan, has condemned the burning of Turkiye’s national flag in Yerevan.

Axar.az reports, according to the official TURKPA statement, such actions undermine the principle of mutual respect and risk further aggravating tensions in the regional environment.

“Manifestation of ethnic hatred is incompatible with the values of peaceful coexistence and responsible public conduct," the statement read.

"We reiterate the importance of promoting dialogue, restraint, and mutual respect as essential elements for stability and constructive engagement in the region, based on the norms and principles of international law, as well as the advancement of peace, mutual respect, and trust in the region,” the statement added.
