Qatar Emir, Trump discuss Iran ceasefire by phone

The Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and U.S. President Donald Trump held a phone conversation.

Axar.az reports, citing Qatar News Agency, the parties reviewed the latest regional developments, particularly the ceasefire agreement between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as international efforts aimed at consolidating it.

The sides also discussed the repercussions of the situation on maritime security and global supply chains.

The Emir stressed the need to reduce tensions and support peaceful solutions, reaffirming Qatar’s continued coordination with regional and international partners to support mediation efforts undertaken by Pakistan in order to enhance regional security and stability.
