Ghalibaf: Iran 'not even started' in Hormuz standoff

Iran’s chief negotiator in talks with the U.S. warned that his country has “not even started” in its standoff over the Strait of Hormuz.

Axar.az reports that in a post on his X account, Ghalibaf stated that shipping and energy routes, which he said are influenced by the United States and its allies, have been endangered due to ceasefire violations and the imposition of blockades.

"A new equation is being formed in the Strait of Hormuz. Maritime security and energy transit, controlled by the United States and its allies, have been put at risk through ceasefire violations and the imposition of blockades; however, their harm will diminish" he said.

He also added that maintaining the current status quo is unsustainable for the United States, while stressing that “we have not even started yet.”
