Explosions were reported in Russia’s Volgograd overnight on October 2, while a glow from a fire was seen near an oil refinery and the Kaustik chemical plant.

Axar.az reports, citing local media, that according to Astra, residents of Volgograd reported drones and multiple explosions in different parts of the city overnight. They also complained about the lack of an air-raid alert.

After analyzing eyewitness videos, the outlet said the glow from the fire could be seen in the direction of the Volgograd oil refinery and the nearby Kaustik plant. However, the available footage did not make it possible to determine what exactly caught fire.
