Tehran reviewing US agreement proposal

There are provisions in the latest U.S. proposal for an agreement with Iran that Tehran has not yet formally responded to and which include elements considered unacceptable by the Iranian side.

Axar.az reports, citing Tasnim News Agency, that despite U.S. media claims about progress toward a final one-page agreement to end the conflict, Iran has not issued an official response to the latest U.S. text.

The source noted that recent U.S. media narratives are largely aimed at justifying what it described as a miscalculated initial move by the Trump administration and its subsequent shift in approach.

It was further stated that, following Iran’s earlier 14-point proposals transmitted via Pakistani mediation, the United States sent a new draft before initiating what Iran described as a new round of escalation, temporarily interrupting ongoing review processes.

The source added that Iran has since resumed its internal review of the proposals following what it described as a U.S. step back, and will communicate its conclusions through mediators once a final position is reached.
