Israel on high alert to resume strikes on Iran, Zamir says

The Israeli Defense Forces Chief of General Staff, Eyal Zamir, has said that Israel is on “high alert” to return to a broad military operation against Iran and is prepared to resume strikes if necessary.

Axar.az reports, citing JP, that Zamir made the remarks during an address to commanders in southern Lebanon.

“We are on high alert to return to a powerful and broad operation that will enable us to deepen our achievements and further weaken the Iranian regime,” Zamir said.

He added that Israel has a series of targets in Iran “ready to be struck” and is prepared to continue operations if required.

According to him, several additional targets in Iran have been prepared, and Israel has a “historic opportunity” to change regional realities through multi-front operations.

Zamir also noted that coordination and cooperation with the United States military continues, and that the situation is being closely monitored.
