Netanyahu in talks with US officials on Iran negotiations

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is holding discussions with officials in the Trump administration to better understand the status of ongoing US–Iran negotiations.

Axar.az reports, citing CNN, the source said Netanyahu is seeking clarity on the latest developments in the talks and what terms may currently be under consideration, amid Israeli concerns over possible US concessions aimed at securing an agreement with Tehran.

Israel is particularly concerned about the potential lifting of economic sanctions on Iran and is pushing for restrictions targeting Iran’s regional proxy networks and ballistic missile program. Israeli officials are also seeking assurances that any agreement would preserve Israel’s freedom of action against perceived regional threats.

An Israeli official said Netanyahu remains in “continuous contact” with President Donald Trump and stressed that Washington has maintained firm positions in the talks.
