Zakharova says Armenia broke promise to Russia

The Armenian authorities have violated their promise not to take steps against Russia.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova at a briefing.

“Armenia’s leadership… which, by the way, during recent visits to Moscow assured that it would not take any steps against Russia.

If this is how the Armenian leadership handles its assurances, then it appears it fails to keep its promises not only to Moscow and Russian citizens, but to others as well," she said.

According to her, the Armenia–EU summit declaration demonstrates Yerevan’s intention to move closer to Euro-Atlantic mechanisms.
