Trump departs for official visit to China

Donald Trump has departed for an official visit to China.

Axar.az reports that Trump is being accompanied by senior U.S. officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and other members of the administration.

During the visit, Trump is expected to hold talks on issues related to Taiwan and China’s relations with Iran. On May 14 and 15, he is scheduled to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing.

The report notes that this will be Trump’s second visit to China as president, following his previous trip in 2017.
