Kuwait protests to Iran over alleged IRGC infiltration

Kuwait has lodged an official protest with Iran over an alleged infiltration attempt linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Axar.az reports, citing Shafaq News, that Kuwaiti authorities claimed several individuals connected to the IRGC attempted to enter the country by sea to carry out hostile acts on Bubiyan Island.

According to the report, Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry summoned Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Toutounchi and delivered an official protest note over the incident.

Meanwhile, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan condemned the alleged infiltration attempt, describing it as a violation of Kuwaiti sovereignty and stressing that the United Arab Emirates stands in full solidarity with Kuwait.

He added that any actions threatening regional security and stability are unacceptable.
