Russia places UK's Ben Wallace on wanted list

Russia has placed former British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace on its wanted list under a criminal article.

Axar.az reports, citing TASS, that the specific criminal article was not disclosed. However, Russian law enforcement sources told the agency that the case may be linked to terrorism-related charges.

Wallace served as the UK’s defense secretary from 2019 to 2023.

In September 2025, he called for strikes on Crimea to make the peninsula “uninhabitable,” prompting criticism from the Kremlin. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov described the remarks as “stupid” and said Moscow saw no need to comment on statements made by former Western officials.
