U.S. F-35A fighter jets patrol near Strait of Hormuz

A U.S. Air Force F-35A Lightning II has been seen conducting patrol operations over regional waters near the Strait of Hormuz.

Axar.az reports that the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) stated on X that the stealth fighter is operating in the area as part of its patrol missions.

CENTCOM noted that the F-35A is capable of carrying up to 18,000 pounds of ordnance while maintaining supersonic speed.

No further operational details were disclosed in the statement.
