Tehran says four citizens detained by Kuwait

Kuwait has “unlawfully attacked” an Iranian boat and detained four Iranian citizens in the Persian Gulf, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said.

Axar.az reports that in a post on X, Araghchi stated that the incident was a “clear attempt to sow discord” and took place near an island allegedly used by the United States for operations against Iran.

He demanded the immediate release of the detained nationals and said Tehran reserves the right to respond.
