Peskov says EU cannot act as mediator in Ukraine war

Europe is now effectively engaged in a direct confrontation with Russia on Ukraine’s side, leaving little room for the EU to act as a mediator.

Axar.az reports that this was told by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.

“They are effectively participating directly in the war on the side of the Kyiv regime and are advocates of the idea of inflicting a ‘crushing blow’ and a ‘crushing defeat’ on Russia,” Peskov said.

“Of course, with such a stance, it is difficult to claim any mediating role,” he added.
