A war against Iran is the beginning of an attack on the Global South.

Axar.az reports, citing IRIB broadcaster, this was stated by the deputy secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council for foreign policy affairs, Ali Bagheri, during a meeting of national security council secretaries of Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states.

He said that the objective of the war conducted by the United States and Israel against Iran is to strike at Asia’s growing integration and prevent the rise of regional powers.

Bagheri added that the war, although beginning with Iran, is not limited to the Islamic Republic and could expand if met with passivity or inaction.
