Saakashvili urges Armenians to back Pashinyan in election

Former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili has called on Armenian voters to support Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7.

Axar.az reports, in a Facebook post, Saakashvili addressed Armenian citizens ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections.

"You are achieving something we would love to be true also for Georgia - you are freeing yourself from the Russian yoke, we're witnessing rapid rapprochement between Armenia, Europe, and America," he wrote.

"You are choosing not only between Pashinyan and Karapetyan (Armenian Ivanishvili) or someone else, but between past and future, slavery and freedom, misery and prosperity, war or peace," he continued.
