Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said Moscow is closely monitoring the developments and is alarmed by the renewed hostilities.

She warned that continued escalation between the sides could further destabilize the region and trigger a wider conflict.

Earlier reports cited by Russian media said the renewed strikes followed attacks on facilities on Iran-controlled Qeshm Island, with subsequent retaliatory actions against US-linked military sites in Bahrain and other Gulf states.
