IDF strikes Hamas naval police headquarters in Khan Yunis

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it carried out a strike earlier this week, on Sunday, targeting the main headquarters of Hamas’ Naval Police in the Khan Yunis area.

Axar.az reports, according to the IDF, the facility was being used by Hamas’ military wing to plan and execute attacks against Israeli forces and the State of Israel. The military added that the site was also involved in activities aimed at smuggling weapons, allegedly taking advantage of civilian cover and prior warnings.

The IDF confirmed that several militants operating from the headquarters were killed in the strike, including Ismail al-Lahham, who it identified as a cell commander within Hamas’ armed wing.
