Erdogan issues strong message over Middle East tensions

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and what he described as a “network of murder” have carried out attacks on Syria and Lebanon, pushing the situation to a point where it now threatens not only these two brotherly countries but also Turkiye.

Axar.az reports, citing Anadolu Agency, emphasizing that Syria and Lebanon are independent and sovereign states, Erdogan noted the following:

“Damascus and Beirut are twin cities of Istanbul. Turkiye’s security does not start only in Hatay; it starts in Aleppo and Damascus. Turkiye’s security begins in Beirut as well. We will not tolerate any faits accomplis in our brothers’ countries, nor will we turn a blind eye to any attacks against them."

"We are fully aware of the ultimate aim behind the delusion of the ‘Promised Land.’ With God’s permission, we will never allow it,” he noted.
