Erdogan, Pezeshkian discuss US-Iran deal and ties

A phone conversation was held between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, the two leaders discussed bilateral relations, as well as regional and global developments.

Erdogan welcomed the U.S.-Iran agreement and said Turkiye would provide all necessary support to ensure that the process concludes peacefully. He also stressed the importance of remaining vigilant against those seeking to sabotage the negotiations.

The Turkish president emphasized that steps should be taken in the new period to strengthen regional peace, adding that Ankara will continue efforts to expand commercial, financial, and energy cooperation with Tehran.
