4.4 magnitude earthquake strikes western Georgia

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 has been recorded in Georgia.

Axar.az reports that the information was provided by the Institute of Earth Sciences and the National Seismic Monitoring Centre.

The tremor occurred at 08:07 local time near the village of Honchiori, about 7 km from the town of Ambrolauri in western Georgia.

The earthquake’s depth was reported at 20 kilometers.

No damage or injuries have been reported so far.
