Zelensky approves 40-day operation to end war

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he has approved a 40-day operation by the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) aimed at pressuring Russia to end the war.

Axar.az reports that, in a post on X, Zelensky said he received a report from SSU Major General Yevhenii Khmara on sanctions efforts, long-range operations, and frontline activities.

“I approved a 40-day influence operation for the Service against the aggressor state aimed at compelling it to end the war,” Zelensky said.

The president added that the SSU has achieved some of the highest performance indicators in supporting Ukraine’s defense efforts, particularly through drone operations. He noted that the SSU’s Special Group Alpha leads in strikes against Russian personnel and equipment.
