Russia will judge Armenia by actions, not statements

Russia will judge the intentions of Armenia’s leadership by its actions rather than statements.

Axar.az reports, citing TASS, that Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said on Sunday.

Commenting on the Armenian authorities’ actions against Prosperous Armenia party leader Gagik Tsarukyan, Medvedev accused Yerevan of launching a “new wave of repression” against opposition figures.

“Our country will judge the true intentions of the Armenian authorities by their real actions,” Medvedev said.

“We will continue to follow the development of the situation. We hope that the Civil Contract party will listen to the alternative opinion expressed by the majority of voters,” he said.
