Keir Starmer interested in NATO Secretary-General post

Former British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is interested in becoming the next NATO Secretary-General.

Axar.az reports, citing The Observer, that Starmer is understood to be eyeing the post when it becomes vacant in 2028.

"Supporters have notably gone out of their way to highlight how the G7 summit earlier this month confirmed that other European leaders hold him in high regard," the report said.

Current NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte's term is due to expire in 2028.
