Serbia to use Iran's underground defense model

Serbia will use Iran's experience in building underground shelters for drones and other weapons systems following Tehran's recent conflict with the United States.

Axar.az reports, citing TASS, that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic made the remarks after a live-fire exercise by the Serbian Armed Forces.

"We will follow Iran's example. They did it very impressively. They moved everything underground. When their launchers emerge to carry out a mission and are detected by enemy reconnaissance, they return underground. They have built serious production facilities, and everything is located underground," Vucic said.

Vucic added that Serbia plans to produce tens of thousands of drones, making secure underground storage facilities a necessity.

He previously announced that Serbia would expand military drone production and establish specialized UAV units within its armed forces.
